Belief is a state of mind when we look for
something that is true even though we are not 100 percent sure or able to prove
it. Everyone has beliefs about life and the world around them. Supporting
beliefs may form the basis of belief systems, which may be religious,
philosophical, or ideological. Religions are Belief systems that combine human
and spiritual values. Religion is a collection of cultural systems, beliefs,
and worldviews associated with humanity and spirituality and, at times, moral
values. Many religions have myths, symbols, traditions, and sacred histories
intended to give meaning to life or to explain the origin of life or the
universe. Religion plays a vigorous part in human lives. Judaism, Christianity,
Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism are the five largest religions in the world. I
have found that strong religious beliefs are closely associated with SWB(Subjective
wellbeing). According to pleasure books, religion influences SWB by giving
meaning and purpose to people's lives; strong religious beliefs show a strong
religious influence when describing life events. Beliefs in the spiritual realm
of life have existed since time immemorial. Many human civilizations have left
a legacy of historical evidence of their religious beliefs, whether it be sun
worship, gods and goddesses, knowledge of good and evil or godliness.
Stonehenge, Bamiyan Buddhas, Almudena Cathedral in Madrid, Uluru in Alice
Springs, Baha'i Gardens in Haifa, Fujiyama, sacred mountain of Japan, Kaaba in
Saudi Arabia or the Golden Temple in Amritsar all testify to human knowledge. Spiritual,
which may be the literal meaning or effect of human objectives on the meaning
of life and our role in the world. Religions and other religious systems in our
area have an influence on our identity, whether we view them as religious or
spiritual or not. At the same time, other aspects of our identity, our history,
our attitude to other religions and groups considered "separate" will
impact how we define that religion or belief system.
Some largest religions and their beliefs are
follows:
Buddhism
Lifestyle based on the teachings of Siddhartha
Gautama. The Five Principles are the basic rules of Buddhist life - avoid
harming living beings; non-delivery taking; sexual misconduct; hurtful speech;
and alcohol or mind-altering drugs.
Christianity
It is according to the teaching of Jesus
Christ. Christian denominations differ in their interpretation of doctrine,
life, death, and resurrection, but these are central to the way of life for
all.
Hinduism
An ancient custom of related beliefs and
practices developed on the Indian subcontinent. The basic principles and values
adopted by most Hindus may include respect for the elders; respect for
teachers; kindness and tolerance for all races and religions
It was revealed in its final form by the
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The essence of Islamic practice is
summarized in the five pillars of Islam - the declaration of faith; traditional
prayer; welfare; month of fasting during Ramadan and pilgrimage.
Judaism
It is based on the covenant relationship of
the Jewish people with God. The Jews believed that they were opposed and
blessed by God. Love of neighbor is a fundamental principle of community life
and a fundamental inspiration for Jewish society.
Sikhism

in the 15th century CE There is only one God, people who must serve Him by
